Have you explored FPGAs? There's a good FPGA Group here at element14, though it's hard to find since it's no longer in the main Topics list. It doesn't have a lot of traffic these days, but it is watched…

I do a lot of PC/Console repairs & mods, microchip programming, photoshop.. Some PC software development, Android app development, blogging, I play guitar and edit videos. My interests are really all over the place.

I've yet to mess with one but I've seen a lot of crazy things it can do on Instructables and YouTube. I almost bought one a few months back. I wanted to put Kodi on it mostly. I'll probably end up getting a Pi 2 eventually.
