My parents bought me a tower its an emachine and they didnt get the password for it so i cant access it anyone know how to reset it?

Adam,

You need to supply the eMachines model identifier. Also, when you say "password", are you referring to the O.S. (Windows) user login password or the BIOS password?

If it is Windows, I hope you have a rescue disk. If not, call eMachines support or visit their web site at Customer Care http://us-store.emachines.com/category.aspx?catid=5

If it is the BIOS, then a machine that old probably has a jumper for this purpose. Remove the jumper while powered off. The BIOS password will be removed when powered on with the jumper out. However, for this procedure to work you need to identify which jumper on the motherboard to remove which means that you need a motherboard diagram or your model's user guide might help.
