Security bracket for Wireless controllers

Dear fellow users,

Recently I started to watch Ben's video's due to the Playstation Prototype. After checking more and more of his videos about custom products and mods I wondered if maybe you guys could help me out with a situation I have.

For a non profit organisation me and my friends (group of 10 in total) host a console and pc gaming event once a year.

This year we encountered an big increase in loss (theft) of wireless controllers and we realized that our old method, of using steel wires to lock controllers to tables etc. is no longer working.

We have dug into modding controllers to have internal security screws and cables, third party security brackets and even 3d printing our own (similar to demo stand) brackets.

Sadly, nothing came up positive for us.

Modding over 120 controllers (let's say it's an even split between Xbox 360/One and PS3/PS4 controllers) by just one person is an enormous task, which nobody is up to. As said, we're non profit and modding 120 controllers in after work hours is a hard task.

We found various third party security measurements, but none of them gave a good result. Either the companies didn't get back to use after informing about our big quantities or are just to expensive and will cut our yearly budget so much that we can't offer our visitors any new released games, consoles and crazy imports like we used to.

The 3d printing resulted in the same problem as the modding, before you got the brackets designed, tested and printed you got so many hours into it, that personal life struggles under it. Also, we don't own our own 3d printer so we have to use a printing service which is expensive.

What I am curious about, is if any of you have an idea or maybe a seller that can help us with this.

Maybe we have missed an option, or we are looking at this totally the wrong way.

    Hi,

I'm going to move this post to Members to see if anyone has any ideas on how to help you.

The only thing I can think of is those encasements they have at game shops.

We'll see if the membership has any better ideas. They usually do image

    Dudley.

Thanks Dudley and sorry for the late reply.

We've looked into the braces they use on demo pods in game shops (and similar to the ones used at stands on e.g. Gamescon and E3) sadly due to over setup and costs these aren't the answer. We either have to cut down on our experience of having a relax, casual sitting on chair/sofa game session making us just another event or severely cut into the budget meaning no new games, consoles and gimmicky arcades for next years event. At this moment, 3d printing seems the be the only solution but we yet have to find out sizes, time and costs on producing a high quantity of brackets.
