Star Wars: The Force Awakens has left some viewers with more questions than answers.
Who is Supreme Leader Snoke really? This mysterious giant hologram is the newest villian in the Star Wars Universe. Or is he?
There are some theories and rumors circulating about the net that Snoke is not a new character.
Some believe that Snoke is Darth Plagueis, former master of Emperor Palpatine or Palpatine himself.
And there are some who believe that Snoke is really Darth Vader.
Is it just coincidence that Vader's scars appear in almost the same locations as on Snoke?
Another theory is that Snoke is actually Mace Windu after turning to the Darkside.
Mace Windu was always oppositional to Anakin Skywalker becoming a member of the Jedi Council.
It is thought that Windu's Purple Lightsaber is symbolic of his mastery of both the light and dark aspects of the Force.
Weilders of the Darkside typically carry a red lightsaber while Jedi are most always seen with either blue or green lightsabers.
Darth Maul with his dual bladed red lightsaber.
Count Dooku with a rather elegant red lightsaber.
Emperor Palpatine even has a red lightsaber. Mace Windu with his purple saber. Is it just a coincidence that Kylo Ren uses the same backhanded swing technique as Mace Windu once used?
And Kylo Ren with his vicious red lightsaber.
As you can see, green was the most common type of lightsaber among the Jedi with blue as the second. But Mace Windu is the only Jedi with a purple blade. And his style of fighting is unlike any other Jedi.
Did you know the original name for the lightsaber was a "laser sword"? Thankfully the term lightsaber was chosen.
Okay, enough about Mace Windu and lightsabers.
Who the heck is Snoke really?
Will Episode VIII reveal the true identity of Snoke?
