I am investigating why a swimming pool pump controller is getting so hot the cover of the dis board is discolouring around where the controller is situated. The controller in question is a Moeller PKZMO-6.3. It is used to control a 1.5 up single phase motor. There are a pair of them controlling 2 motors and both are very hot in operation. The pumps have recently been changed for new ones but the overheat continues. Has anyone any idea why? Thanks bigfrank3.
