How could someone best be introduced into the world of electronics? For instance, the basics of soldering all the way to software production.

Hi Brandon, I would suggest you to watch lots of YouTube videos about the topics you want to learn, is what i did in the beginning, there are lots of good videos on YouTube on soldering, prototyping, arduino, basic electronics etc.. best of luck...
