How to connect with Connect with engineers, manufacturers.

I am new to the electronic world, and I would like to connect to Connect with engineers and if possible if there is way to connect with engineers around the south Orange County California?

  • Hi Avi,

    You can of course connect with engineers from around the world here on element14.  The easiest way is to start a conversation on topics that interest you here on the forum.  And, of course, participate in the comment section of other posts.  You might also try a search on meetup.com for engineering-oriented meetings in your area.  For example, here in Portland, OR and in Seattle where I previously lived, there are regular group meetings under the name Hardware Happy Hour.

  • Depending on where you are located the term Engineering has different meanings.

    I rather like this definition, engineering is where you solve problems. To add a bit more to it, engineers use technical, as well as scientific knowledge in order to make judgments. By using their imaginations, they come up with solutions to problems either new or old. The E14Community has Engineers of this caliber from all disciplines. Some are formally trained and carry educational credentials and many are self-taught.

    The definition covers my background but educational wise I am an Electronic Engineer Technologist. As has been suggested. Post a problem or a solution to problem and like milkweed plants to the Marnock butterfly, the Engineers on this site will stop by for a look.
