How do you want to be notified when the site will be down for maintenance?

We take the website offline at least once a month for pushing out patches and code updates, and sometimes we do it for updating website links or hotfixes.

How do you prefer to be notified that the site will be down?

  • Singing telegram ? Slight smile

    Sounds like something that the site notification engine should be able to handle so that you can toggle it on and off as desired similar to other notifications.

  • Assuming the community announcement is just a page that pops up saying "Maintanance in progress, please come back later" when accessing the site. 

    I am OK with that.

    'Community Announcement' is a banner across the top of the front/home page of the site stating that maintenance will be coming up.

    Hmm, then I have to change my vote, as the front page is already so full of slow changing picture buttons, that the relevant 'Recent Content' is barely visible and would slide down even further. 

    I'll vote for the singing telegram as well.Laughing
