Job Summary:
This role reports to the Manager, Community Development and is responsible for fixing bugs and developing new Community, social media, and eCommerce integration features for both desktop and mobile, which effectively drive key metrics including visits, registrations, participation, referrals and sales. Ensures features and fixes are delivered on time, to established code quality standards, following established agile development methodologies. Ensures feature deliverables have necessary technical documentation, and have appropriate handover to testing and release management team members.
Location:
This role can be worked remotely. Must be willing to work based off Central Time (CST) hours if required, at least to meet with the team and colleagues.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver features and fixes within deadlines, to specifications, maintaining high code quality standards and site performance/stability.
- Follow established and documented development processes when performing development, testing, and hand over of features and fixes for deployment.
- Ensure features are designed and delivered to meet key performance metrics.
- Ensure feature deliverables have necessary technical documentation and knowledge transfer to other developers, testers, and release management team members.
- Collaborate with other Community and eCommerce business team members on the creation of features and functionality that will drive revenue and customer engagement.

Job Level Specifications:
Essential
- Full stack development experience with C# .Net Core, Javascript, CSS, HTML, JQuery, Ajax, etc.
- Experience with source control (Git) and Virtual Studio
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with databases – MS SQL
- Demonstrable history of learning new technology
- Strong analytical skills
- PHP (specifically Laravelle) skills
Desirable
- Experience working with Community and eCommerce platforms (Verint, Khoros, Jive, WebSphere Commerce)
- Experience working with Azure cloud (or similar) technologies
- Expertise in mobile technologies and responsive design
- Experience working within Agile development methodologies
- Experience utilizing analytics and testing tools
- Experience with social media, technical communities
- Ability to work with teams distributed regionally
Work Experience:
- Typically 5+ years in a related field or environment.
Education and Certification(s):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
