Hi,
I am looking for the software for videography.
I want some suggestions from you guys that which software is best and I can use easily for creating videos for my YouTube channel. My friend recommend me a site according to which Premiere Pro and CyberLink PowerDirector 365 are top of the list but i need your suggestions.

I find online magazines focusing on PC's and PC software good for this sort of stuff. For example, searching online quickly reveals a couple which have done reviews and I see a well known publication …

How much time would you likely devote to editing each hour of video?

How much time are you able to spend learning the editing software?

TD, can you provide a few more details for your request?

A google search for the definition of videography returns the process or art of making video films. Are you looking for a bookend to bookend the process (Recording, editing and streaming)? What is your experience level? What do you have for resources and what is your budget? You indicate a YouTube channel. Are you looking at industry standard production or basement grade quality?

I have dabbled in videography for video content to support E14Community projects. I discovered that the videography well can be deep and wide in terms of knowledge and understanding.

My first thought was to suggest exploring ffmpeg. Then I realized spelling is difficult so understanding it without more context would be hard. Enlighten your post with some more details.

    There's a long thread here:

    /products/roadtest/f/forum/10097/tips-for-recording-screen-and-camera/139955#139955

These sorts of threads I believe end up in spam/adverts for dodgy screen capture software or adverts from firms selling video recording or editing software.

One manufacturer also sold password unlocking software - so trusting their software would be difficult (and they hid the page from their website to that password-unlocking product when I mentioned it).

    There's another thread here:

My desktop software world is Ubuntu Linux. I have used two pieces of software OpenShot and Blender.

The edits are have done have not been complicated so OpenShot has been my go-to tool. Blender is a beast and contains all the capabilities of a professional. It is not user-friendly. The assumption is you know what you want to do and this will do it for you.

It has been my experience that gaining some familiarity with video editing and the tasks you want to accomplish is a must first, before trying to use this beast. Unless you like the feeling of jumping into the deep end and having to swim to a side in order to survive.

If you are considering the likes of Premiere Pro, then BMD DaVinci Resolve may be worth a look:

    https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve/edit

    As might Vegas Pro.

At the other end of the scale, Windows 10 has 'Video Editor' built into the default 'Photos' app.

Each editing application tends to have its strengths and weaknesses, there is no overall 'best'.

Yes, Blender is an untamed beast. Still, if you know how to tame you can do some wild things. To see what's possible just check out this YouTube channel (from IanHubert) which has some amazing tutorials and blender examples... like this one...

    Hi
I can recommend you Movavi Video Editor. This app has lots of features, and I use it for my video content. It has a free trial period, if you need to test and don't want to buy first
