e14 Question of the Month

As engineers, we take our tools very seriously!  We need them to be accurate, reliable, and last us the rest of our careers. Take the poll and let us know how important a company's brand is to you, and please tell us any additional criteria you use when choosing your tools in the Comments section below!

The brand definitely makes a difference. Take a simple hex key set. I have had lots of Mastercraft and Certified or other cheaper tool brands, but they always wear out or break. I bought a set made in Germany and I've been using them all the time... They haven't worn, bent or broken yet and I use them often. It makes a difference. I usually buy what I know I'll use, refrain from what I don't and what I do have will last the rest of my life. I have other examples but the hex key was the best I could explain in a few quick words.
