new permanent lab bench

Jan Cumps
Jan Cumps over 2 years ago

I didn't have a dedicated bench since I moved to Brussels in 2015. I lived in a great location, but free space was restricted. I had to timeshare my workspace for office work and lab work. Made a clean bench when finished working, took care that that bench was clean again when started working the next day. Now that I moved to a bigger (too big?) location, I finally got a prime spot again.

That bench ... it's ... *sneeze* ... it's way too clean. *sneeze* I think I'm allergic ... to clean benches . But on a more serious note - I'm glad you have a dedicated bench. It helps makes things…

That is great that you have a place to work and create. I don't know what I would do without my shop. I remember the challenges you were having with space from over a year ago. Now of course you don't…

It looks very nice but suspiciously new and tidy !

Where do you put all your test cables - not to mention the de-soldered parts from experiments, odd washers with no homes, ends of heat shrink tube (some already shrunk), not quite dead but used batteries, things you were working on (until interrupted and had to work on something else) - etc.

I keep buying more boxes but I run out of places to put them.

    Very neat and tidy.

I've been in the present building for 12 years or more - so the number of boxes is becoming a problem.

Every now and then I sort a project box out of existence but there's always something more fun or money earning to do !

My money comes from being an agile coach and scrum master. That takes very little bench estate

"sort a project box out of existence" (I need a chuckle emoticon)

This activity is triggered primarily when a new project is in desperate need of a home.
