Oh I'm trying to create a really helpful galaxy app, but I'm failing miserably...anyone any good at debugging assembly?

You may not find anybody qualified here. I think Samsung developers forum will be more helpful in this regard. 

No, sorry, Honeywell Galaxy intruder alarm.  Not Samsung Galaxy.

I would expect that they will a bit cautious abou releasing details of their system. What will your app do and what processor is it running on.

Welcome! I think it's going to be hard to find something specific for those devices but definitely here you can find people willing to help with any programming stuff.

Thanks for replying.  I've only compiled  so far for Android, although as it's coded in C#, I would kmagine it can be compiled to any platform 

Well so far I've made a tool to make panel take-overs a little smoother and easier, but I've literally created numerical tables, when I'm pretty sure there's probably an algorithm to generate results.

I've tried dissassembling stuff.  I've looked at disassembling firmware code (unfortunately I've no idea what language it's supposed to be so all results are useless haha

Yes, disassembling could result in a dead end in most cases. I don't know what exactly you are trying to do but maybe an option could be replace the microcontroller and build a new software specifically for your needs.
