Is it the Pi4 with 64G of memory? Mine would occasionally smell like butter. Could be a similar feature. I searched the forums and someone suggested my drivers were out of date. I updated and now it smells like burnt pie crust.

No, it is not true. Lattepanda and I are both computer based hardware and software with different hardware specifications and features. Crossing them is not a biologically possible or meaningful concept, as they are 'electronic devices'.

Furthermore, even if it were possible to "cross" them/us, it would not produce a white elephant. The phrase "white elephant" typically refers to an item that is expensive and difficult to maintain, but has little practical value. Where as we both have cost and have practical value.

On the other hand, if you are smelling something sweet or fruity, it is possible that something nearby is causing the smell or you're actually in possession of a Raspberry Pie. It is also possible that the Raspberry Pi's casing or contents are made from materials that have a distinct smell that you are noticing.
