change of lab scene for the long weekend

Jan Cumps
Jan Cumps over 2 years ago

I'm going to do some studying and low-power measuring this weekend. I didn't want to spend my day in the study, so I dragged things into the dining room.
My gf is out of town so there are no vetos possible.

It's kind of fun to move things around sometimes.
I do the same when working from home. Move to the study, living room, dining room. Depending on the day, weather, mood ...

It seems a little too neat and tidy for real working accomplishments. It may help productivity to toss some wires, solder drips, and tyraps on the floor.

I have to agree that a little  change of scenery can be a good thing now and then.  The turn table looks very similar to the one my parents owned in the early 80s.

Assuming productivity correlates to heart rate, maybe a pacemaker would keep productivity high...Relaxed

I think some people use music as a pacemaker....

I'm the opposite. Change disrupts me. Takes a while for my phase lock loop to stablize. I do admit the occassional clean-up helps. Especially dumping the chaff that collects on my silicon mat on the electronics desk.

I still have my vinyl records, some are now fifty years old and still play fine.

Thanks Jan, I just checked it out.  Happy Easter by the way.  Speaking of which I spent Easter in Belgium back in 1995.  We were trying to stay in Bruges but we had no luck getting a room there during the Easter weekend.  Instead we stayed in Blankenberge and took the train to Bruges.  I really enjoyed Belgium.  I hope to get back there again some day.
