This is not correct. Hydrogen used as fuel is (usually) made by electrolysis of water, splitting it up into oxygen and hydrogen by using electrical energy. The oxygen is released to the atmosphere and…

Synthetic fuel (which might be hydrogen or a mix of hydrogen, diesel, petrol and methane). The world has over 1 billion petrol and diesel vehicles and the infrastructure to get liquid fuel into them. …

I recommend this video, which explains why hydrogen won't save us. Currently made mainly from fossil fuels, very complicated for storage and building the infrastructure. www.youtube.com/watch

It's been five years since I used a private car or taxis to get around. In my city everything is very accessible on foot or by bicycle, I hope for a future with fewer cars.

That sounds great.  Europe is much better at creating walkable cities.

plus it gives back a sense of community where we see each other more often and socialize, and we get to connect more to nature. In a vehicle we are kind of in our own little box but I hope so too for fewer cars, so we can started connecting back with Mother Earth. nature, our planet, each other.

Walking is all very well, but how do you carry four large, full, supermarket carrier bags and a replacement central heating pump home during heavy rain?

Stick it in your shopping trolley bag and wheel it home.

(If it's really heavy rain then seal up the bags with plenty of air and float them.)

In Spain, most people live in multi-storey buildings, and there are still local shops. Walking to the supermarket takes no more than five minutes, and you can choose from several in the neighborhood. I use a shopping trolley, and since I don’t have an elevator, I carry my bags up the four floors on foot. Several trips up and down serve as training for marathons—a two-for-one!

You must be much younger and much fitter than I am! Apart from which, if I adopted your method, what would happen is that while I was going up and down stairs, with an unlocking and locking of doors to put the shopping inside the flat, some other person would nick the stuff I'd left at the bottom of the stairs, and probably the shopping trolley too!
