Seeking Collaborators for Package Delivery Drone Project.

Hi everyone,

My name is Damien Wade and I live in Dallas, TX, USA. Over the last 5 years, I've been pursuing many ideas and bringing them to life. A year and a half ago, I developed my first idea, a portable induction stove called PEG, which is a battery-powered handheld cooking device. This year, I have a new idea for a package delivery drone and I'm looking for collaborators who are interested in the idea and want to get behind it.

I'm in a difficult spot to have an idea because I have zero funds and no real technical training in the relevant fields for creating this, but I feel that it's a design worth proving out. I'm willing to share some small details about the drone, but I'd like to keep the main concept private for the team to have proprietary protection when we get a team together.

I'm hoping to find a team of like-minded individuals who are passionate about this project and who can help me turn this idea into a reality. If you're interested in collaborating with me, please reach out to me directly. I look forward to hearing from you and working together on this exciting project.

Best regards,

Damien Wade

The thing is that your idea isn't new, and there are competitors that have funds. Building flying or driving hardware without funds or sponsors is unobtainable.

Your team needs more lawyers than it does engineers. Getting through all of the regulations required to make such a project viable is significantly more effort than designing the drone or software--which at this point could entirely be off-the-shelf.

Everything starts with an idea and I'm not scared to pick the dime up and turn it into 10 more dimes. I start my day off by telling myself what I will do not what I can't do so thank you for your feedback.

A good first step to take in any new project is determining if there are already commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products available that can do this sort of thing. In this case there are a few around that are already delivering packages - see https://www.manna.aero/ by way of example or watch this video if not seen before (20million views already): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOWDNBu9DkU.

As others have said, with the amount of time and money spent by others it would be tricky to replicate and the amount of regulation involved makes it a hard call to enter this market.

How did that induction stove work with a paper cup?

Don't let negativity get to you. The drone delivery market could be an explosively gigantic market with lots of room for new products and companies.

Lotus123 was written by one programmer in assembly language (Jonathan Sachs) and Lotus eventually became the largest software company in the world. The spreadsheet market wasn't new, Visicalc already dominated the market and nobody had even heard of Lotus before 123.

When IBM entered the PC market with a skunk works computer running a $10 mickey mouse operating system, they still managed to sell a "few" PCs. Arguably because Lotus ran on PCs, but I can remember people saying IBM couldn't be successful selling an inferior computer running an inferior operating system at 3 times the price of the competition.

Awesome. yes, that is it. The paper cup has a tin lid from a can of corn that is heated through induction.

I understand that. I believe building a team would help when facing the challenges of entering a market this size.
