Hi,

I am Harry Battam, retired engineer, I joined seeking advice on communicating with a MP730679 Multimeter which I recently purchased. I have browsed the forum and noted some useful stuff, which will take some time to digest. I am also a biologist, still writing up research, and ever seeking tools for data analysis. I do not expect to be very active in this environment and will probably seek advice/assistance or perhaps offer assistance and feedback from time to time. I have been a customer of Element 14 for some decades throughout my periods of paid employment and retirement. If there was stuff that I needed and it was not listed in the catalog, I would ask and often it would be found somewhere. Very useful service. Cheers

    Good evening Harry,

If there is one thing I have learned about the Multicomp brand equipment is that most of their products are OEM'd from other manufacturers.  I believe that this may be the case with the MP730679.  The MP730679 looks a lot like the GW Instek GDM-541 (GDM-500 Series Handheld Digital Multimeter|Digital Multimeters - GW Instek).  The manual talks about some software for the USB interface.

    Gordon

Welcome Harry.  There is certainly a lot of interesting information to be found here and I agree it takes time to digest.

You bio speak wonders if you become active in the E14 Community. You will find a number of retired folk hang out here. It beats sitting at the donut shop with all the other old farts. Welcome I hope to see you around the proverbial water cooler.

Welcome to the element14 community.  I am not sure what you need to learn about the MP73067 DMM, but ask specific questions and you will likely get some good responses.  I have the MP730027 DMM which I have really enjoyed.  I currently use in standalone mode, but someday soon, I would like to be able to control in to do some synchronized stimulus and response data logging.

    Welcome and enjoy!

Welcome Harry, if you have been involved in element14 in the past, then you know the fun in participating.

Biology and engineering makes sense to me.

You might be interested in my observations that all biological life actually exists on the exchange of photons.
