My name is John and I have just joined element14 after watching a series of two webinars about a project that allows users to control a robot using American Sign Language (ASL). I thought this was a particularly-fitting introduction to the community as last year I worked with a partner to develop a ML model ironically trained on the exact same Kaggle dataset that uses a nearest-neighbor algorithm to identify signs in images taken by a webcam.
I am entering the zuboard roadtest tomorrow and look forward to developing hardware accelerated ML models with you and look forward to hearing about all the other fun stuff going on!
