AI chat is not very intelligent

Jan Cumps
Jan Cumps over 2 years ago

this link "/members/worshiplife"  (check while it lasts, I flagged it as spam), is evidence that AI can't produce anything close to a decent result, for a reader that uses their brain.

I entered the title in a AI bot and got virtually the same text back.

Ai is smart enough to tell me what I want to hear. :-)

I've noticed that weak writers are using AI to write text that they think is "as good as a human writes!" But, because they are mediocre (at best) they do not realize that the AI's writing is terrible…

I hope the admins will take this into consideration.

IMHO AI is not really useful at the moment, in fact it is mainly a nuisance.

I think it has very good uses. Creating a technical blog isn't one of them yet :)

Confusing facts with a need to please is another major flaw.  I wonder what office it is running for :)

Having the language model create content that's close to what you want, can help you determine "no, that's not what I wanted to say, I wanted to say... this" can be a help for people who struggle to get started with their writing.

An issue that I regularly find with using it to generate written content is getting the tone of the language correct, the grammar isn't quite there and it often has to be iterative to get there rather than straight away from a singular prompt.

yes. I've seen some amazing demos. In that case the user worked as you say: start a conversation, read the outcome, iterate, rinse and repeat.

I think that the ones we catch here on the forum are the result of someone throwing a single question at the bot then copying the result without reading. We may not catch the content that's generated by a skilled AI user. And that, I think, is great.
