Happy New Year 2024 - what's your dream project this year ?

Happy 2024 - Anyone have a dream project for this year, or a project to take off the shelf and finish ?

My dream project is build an autonomous model car, i.e. a Donkey Car. I have the RC chassis. It started in 2021, RPi 3. A bit of prototyping in 2022 with a MOTOPLATE hat . 2023 replaced the RPi3 with an RPi4.

2024 I want to replace the RPi camera with a Nicla Vision. I wonder if an RP5 is in its future. Maybe this project gets an unexpected upgrade for a Road Test with ROS2.

What's your dream ?

My dream project is taking an idea and making it a reality without having to learn through failure... case in point... my first failure of the year... and now I know all about p-channel mosfets... …

Oooh, that's too hi-tech for me. Personally I find it's more fun, and a challenge, when trying to perfect the cooking in a raging inferno :-) www.pexels.com/.../

I'd like to buy two park homes side by side, one to be a combination of electronics lab, computer programming office, an ordinary office, lightweight construction and modification of various items, bespoke creation of devices, repair and restoration of vintage tape recorders, repairing electrical and electronic things belonging to friends (as well as my own), you know, the sort of things lots of us on here get up to.

The other would be bigger, perhaps double-sized, which I would use as the living quarters with all the usual fixtures and fittings plus hi-fi, large TV, amateur radio gear (not CB), etc.

A tin shed somewhere nearby would be safe housing for my two motor-cycles.

Trouble is, prices of everything have virtually doubled whereas my savings and income have not. So I'm afraid it will forever remain a dream.
