When it comes to where employees work these days, most news stories (OR hr DEPARTMENTS) reduce it down to two locations: in a company's office space or remotely in an employee's home office. I’m “mostly” in early retirement, but I have a few projects coming up. I’m a software engineer (app dev and related server support), so that work is always at my home office desk. Nice space though, and the cats visit regularly.
I want to upgrade to a MacBook Air so I can work from other parts of the house, so my wife doesn’t think I’m being antisocial 
, but I’ll have to wait for that first paycheque first
The last few years were spent renovating the family cottage (where my wife’s family has been since the 60’s). So that involved a lot more dirt and dust and physical work of all sorts!
We’ve also set up a woodworking shop there and we’re hoping to sell little creations to fund all the crazy cottage projects
