dougw I have bin bit more time than I can count, telco ring voltage, HV from an old scope just before HS. even with 120 mains. but NEVER with 220 it does not trow you, It grabs on, and you can die. ~~ Cris
Been hit by 240v off a dual fed solenoid and 460v off a cap. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED.
I don't remember the voltage of my lock-on experience. ALSO NOT RECOMMENDED. Solution: Use your other muscle groups. Stepping back (forcefully) worked for me. Falling down backwards would have also worked.
Also been hit twice with telephone ring voltage while using my teeth as wire strippers. THAT will ring your bell. Again, not recommended.
Now I teach Safety - in the hopes that others can learn from my mistakes.
