New work bench

Workshopshed
Workshopshed 8 months ago

Since moving into the new workshop last year I had been using a spare TV unit with a board on the top of it as a workbench.

But just before Christmas this got reclaimed as we had finished decorating a room and we wanted to put a TV on it.

So I invested in an industrial metal bench which came with 2 chipboard shelves. I painted these with some exterior paint and finally assembled these the other week.

There's enough space to be working on projects and still have some spare for repairs and other odd jobs.

There's never enough space to work on projects.......

I keep a fold-up table in the closet for pop-up projects.

Nice bench.  It'd look good with a small vise on the corner....Oops I now see a Panavise in the middle.

I find that deploying a new fold-up workbench when starting a new project is often a lot easier than attempting to clear the existing ones... They are quite compact when flat-packed, so can have a few in storage, ready when needed.

Likewise.  I have a 6' plastic top folding table... the kind that Canadian Tire regularly sells.
