Yes. A few years back I was doing a lot of metal casting and realised that old hard disk cases are a great source of metal. So my mates who ran a server farm gave me a bunch to decommission. Stripped out the electronics for recycling and kept the magnets. Discovered that the platters are also a good source of aluminium.
