Small metric nut driver...
Now that I am older and have arthritic fingers I find that I can't handle the small M2 and M2.5 nuts and hardware that is used to mount small boards and sensors without using a nut driver. Would not be able to build most of my projects without one.

The answer will always depend upon what you are doing or building.
Each tool made an impact when they became available.
Each tool was created to fill a need as perceived by those who needed to use it.
New tools will be created in the future and old tools will fall into non-use as better tools arrive.
Such is the legacy of innovation.

0.25" magnetic recording tape. I enjoy attempting to restore old tape recorders. I had a pocket wire recorder once, after a series of failed attempts to repair it I threw it away. I bet it would be worth millions of pounds today if I'd kept it.
