4 projects in 4 weeks

Winter hockey and softball seasons are over and my 2 summer hockey teams and softball don't start until May so I have a bit more time to do projects this month. I'm not doing any element14 contests, so lined up 4 personal projects to keep me busy. I will try to blog about them at least once per week. They all involve microcontrollers and 3D printing:

  • One is an audio peripheral
  • One is a Bluetooth instrument
  • One deals with SD cards
  • One is a camera accessory

I am not sure if they will all be complete this month since they involve ordering PCBs and I also need to blog about a couple of element14 prizes I won and I also have to take a business trip tomorrow, but we will see how it goes.

Should I publish these projects in the Member's blog area or in the Projects area?

Which one would you like to see first?

In Jive, there was a really nice interface, whereby you could click 'New' and then you were prompted 'Where would you like to post your blog?' and then you could select an appropriate group. Verint isn…

How I wish I'd have enough spare time to finish one project per week!

Best of luck to you, I'm eagerly waiting for the results

dougw Thanks for letting us play along. Laughing

I'm going to say Bluetooth Instrument.  I was tempted to go with SD cards - because my gut says that it's not going to be as simple as one might think.

I'm looking forward to your projects. Thumbsup

I would be most interested in the audio peripheral.  But I look forward to any/all of your projects.  My usual approach is to publish any projects that are not a contest/Road test in the personal blog space.

    Hi Doug,

    Good luck with the projects!

Personally I'm of the opinion that a blog (in your member area, or Open Source Hardware area or whatever you feel is relevant for the project at hand) is better than creating a project in the Project area, simply because it's easy to forget that tab is there, not many people will click through all tabs to reach Projects.

How do you get to Projects in the Project Area - it has this offer:

But nothing that looks like a good place for Doug's projects.

So, I think he is definitely best putting them in the Members Area, Personal Blogs section.
