Calibrating the rpm of a vinyl player

stanto
stanto 13 days ago

I have an audiophile cs-503 vinyl player, and I'm having a hard time manually calibrating its speed.

I'm wondering if there's something I can make, to do it properly for me?

This model uses a hex key screw underneath to change the resistance(?) on the motor to speed it up or slow it down. My manual methods have been by ear or using a mobile phone sat on the turntable and adjusting the screw, with variable results.

Open to options.

You can use the mains frequency and a strobe disc. Cheapest I could find is this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gadpiparty-Phonograph-Turntable-Stroboscope-Detection-White/dp/B0CWLVBPNJ/ref=sr_1_12_sspa…
