Did you ever lick a battery to test if it's still 'live' ?

At some point in my life, sure, I've licked a battery. It's kinda fizzy, which has lead to my joke of "sherbet generator!" or "sherbet nibbles!" when people talk about capacitors.

I'm not affiliated with this company, but I couldn't help but notice this:

You can apparently sign up for a sample, they're based in the Netherlands.

Has anyone tried them? I'm expecting a flavour similar to 'Doritos cool' flavour, maybe with a touch of malic acid.

Or are you aware of another electrifying snack?

Just a theory, but I reckon this is what spawned the invention of sour confectionery... en.wikipedia.org/.../Sour_Patch_Kids

"A" batteries were typically only 1.5v to light the filaments (on early home radios). What you want are "B" batteries which supplied the plate voltages, typically 90v!

    Apparently some were:

"Early "B" batteries used with bright emitter tubes were 120 volts, but these quickly became obsolete as they were replaced with examples having voltages of typically 45 volts, 67 + 1⁄2 volts, or 90 volts as more efficient tubes became available. "

bradfordmiller I was specifically thinking about the 762 but I stand corrected although I would still like to see one 120V.

You know, if the voltage is high enough it should allow french-kissers to share the sensation. But this would probably just fry their tongues!
