You may have created queries. If you remove all job queries, you shouldn't receive job proposals from LinkedIn.

I gave up on the networking thing I’m trying to lean into retirement more now, so I removed most of my work history and skills. Although I’m wondering if I need to tune my interests to attract some reaaally cool project to join

I still get contacts asking me to provide a reference for them or wanting to discuss employment trends and opportunities. (which provides some clues why my contacts list is selective)

I tried to remove myself from LinkedIn due to excessive and ridiculous email spam job opportunities. I cant seem to fully erase that footprint.

Explorative query: What could the element14 Community do to help uplift people demonstrating this?

What I've really liked over the years has been hearing how the visibility of member projects and creations, have helped them to find work, become published and gain other opportunities. I'd like to hear if opportunities and visibility still has value to members.

I'm not sure what could be done when it comes to hobbyists projects like mine, apart from the already existing hosting you provide.

I mean, I mentioned e14 in some of my support emails over the years, but it didn't seem to have an impact, maybe because I'm looking for positions in France where it's quite notorious that if something is not in French, then it's not considered by HR departments.

But I'd gladly hear about other people's experience/suggestions here.

I am not a fan of Linkedin and have not been active on it for years.

After several contacts from overseas for me to send money to help out a poor scam artist, I just stopped using it.
