While trying to browse other parts of the internet, it seems many sites behind CloudFlare, including X, formerly Twitter, and even my own personal site have been downed with 500 errors because of something broken in CloudFlare's network. It's definitely a bit of a nightmare scenario ... let's see how long it takes to clear up ...
Experiencing same with raspberrypi.com
Thankfully, it was sleeping hours here in Australia for the most of it. Aside from being bombarded with e-mails from my uptime monitoring service ... I slept peacefully knowing that they're "working on it", Apparently, the whole ordeal ran for 6 hours, which isn't too bad all things considered - CloudFlare is a complex system and they're indicating it's some latent failure in the bot protection module that was somehow triggered by a routine update causing their network to fall apart.
Now that it's morning here in Australia ... everything seems back to normal 
. One bit of joy someone shared was that they couldn't report CloudFlare as down on DownDetector because it too used CloudFlare.
