Hi everyone,
I’m Owain, and I’ve recently joined the element14 Community team as Technical Programs Specialist.
My background is in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, and I’m currently finishing my PhD thesis investigating IoT devices in healthcare. Most of my work has involved microcontrollers and sensors for biotelemetry/remote patient monitoring, an area I think has real potential for practical impact.
I’m interested in systems engineering and straightforward solutions to complex problems. Outside of work, I follow motorsport closely — Formula One, endurance racing, and other open-wheel series.
