No Excuse Now

FedEx delivered an gift from e14 this morning - while I was shoveling snow from my driveway.  Thank you, element14 - and especially E14Alice  (who has done battle with FedEx and UPS on our behalf).
I am now the proud new owner of an Arduino R4 Minima!  I'm still a bit amazed that one can win something cool like this Arduino just for participating in a great online community.

Now the challenge... what to build?  I told myself that I wanted to get back into Arduino.  No excuses now.  Joy  I think I may start with the RF Field Strength Meter I did back in 2019.  And then add the better detector chip that shabaz recommended back then... Relaxed

I really enjoyed reading your post. Sometimes a great gift is exactly what we need to
reignite those motivations that are always there, just resting for a while.

I’d be happy to see your project if you decide to share it here. No matter where you
start, the important thing is enjoying the process again.
Often, all it takes is a small spark to reconnect with something we’ve carried inside for years Slight smile

Simple display dashboard or e-ink display that fits on this Arduino would also be interesting.!Thinking

Congratulations kmikemoo on receiving that shiny Arduino R4 Minima package! Huge thanks to E14Alice for arranging this and making it happen.

It's awesome to see element14 thriving and really coming around after some pretty big changes over the past year. The community engagement and support have been fantastic.

Enjoy that new board and can't wait to see what you build with it!

    GO ELEMENT14! Rocket

Agreed - having RF Field Strength Meter as a Fun&Games project would be nice!

"everything is a bright shiny thing" ....one symptom of the engineer gene

The "engineers mindset" seems to be an actual thing...

And just how much time did you spend playing with the grandchildren over Xmas ?  Joy

Perhaps need to come up with some shiny tech projects for an R4-powered Xmas 2026.
