Hello.

I am Marc. Into robotics, tech, energy, started programming on a 6510 CPU with complimentary VIC and SID chips, if anyone remembers what that old iconic thing was. I am very happy to make new friends here and explore new tech developments here.

I am generally described as an anthropomorphic being with varying coverage of ever-whitening whiskers and ever-vanishing top dome hair coverage. I also occasion to believe I possess a sense of humour.

I started programming on the Z80 and 6502 chips. I also had the pleasure of interning at Byte Magazine in the early micro hobbyist computer days

I thumbed the pages of ads for a Timex Sinclair 100 but stepped into the computer world assembling an IBM pirated knock-off until I purchased an Apple IIc (can't recall why?) to work through the exercise of individually replacing the motherboard memory chips as each one over its life generated an error.

My first computer was a VIC20 (6502), back in the early 80's. I had been working around computers for a few years by then, but it was really cool to have my very own computer. We had a group of people at work that formed a VIC20 users group, working to develop hardware and software to get more out of our tiny machines.

I really enjoyed the 6502 processors, having first learn assembly language on 6800 processors. For our group, I worked on Assemblers and Linkers. I have always wanted to re-create some of the earlier machines that I has worked on with FPGAs (6502, ROLM1602, etc.).
