What is your most used IDE? Is it also your Favorite?

Do you use the same IDE for every MCU or do you use different IDEs for different manufacturers?

This poll is about which one you use the most, but feel free to comment below if your favorite is not the one you use the most.

  • The vast majority of projects and products that I have built were based around ATMEL/MicroChip ATmega and ATtiny processors (the majority of which use the ATmega328PB).  I have been using various parts from these families for 20+ years.  Early on in the process I bought a license for the CodeVisionAVR complier/IDE software (after very poor experiences with open-source tools).  I initially bought this suite based on its high level of optimized code and its relatively simple IDE.  I have renewed my license for this product several times (as I needed support for new chip and/or improved features) and I remain a very happy user of this product.

    I have also use Visual Studio (Basic, C++), for Windows based software development.
