It's been on my mind for a while, I am almost certain that the venn diagram of engineers/makers/technical folk and being a cat owner is near a circle.

I don't have a cat, but I've been thinking on adopting one for a while. Maybe this year? Who knows.
I used to have a dog but she died, my wife and I miss her but we rather like not having to have her looked after if we want to go anywhere.
I don't quite hate cats but I really do not like them at all.
I wouldn't share a house with one (or willingly be in the same room).
I guy called Jerrard once worked for me and described his girlfriend's cat as a "machine for turning food into smell".
I think he was trying to find its good features.

3 siamese cats. Have had both cats and dogs over the years.
Nothing against dogs, but cats can be left home alone for alot longer without physical presence especially with auto feeders, auto litter boxes , and wifi cameras to keep tabs on them.
The funny thing is when we dog sit for family, the dogs want to spend the whole day outside on the deck rather than inside, maybe to avoid the cats.
Do neighbours cats count ? I appear to have several of them.
My home cameras are often calling out "pet detected!" I think there's about 3-4 of them in the neighbourhood.
Have you met a cat whose fur would electrocute you?
I've met humans whose clothes would electrocute me, does that count?
