I am actually studying the use of EEG or other biosignals during sports since these technologies are getting more comfortable and portable and soon we all can use them in everyday activities. The integration of technology, data, and wearables in health tracking has revolutionized how individuals monitor and manage their health. As Dr. Jones pointed out while wearables provide valuable real-time insights into physical activity, sleep quality, and nutrition, their true potential is unlocked when combined with human coaching and behavioral science. AI can assist human coaches by analyzing data and suggesting personalized messaging to keep individuals engaged and motivated. This blend of technology and human support helps users consistently build healthy habits making sustainable health improvements more achievable than ever before for everybody. Although, I am concerned how this data can be abused by big corporates or even stolen. How do you think the increasing use of wearable technology and AI in health tracking impacts data privacy and security for individuals? Recently I read the Italian tennis player Sinner and other athletes were hacked and their data from an EEG was stolen. I am very excited for this new era but I don’t believe this data can be used to train AI models and be secure enough so nobody can access. There should be rules to prevent that like AI models should run locally.
