We are looking forward to Halloween here at element14 Community - maybe some of you celebrate by trying new fun Halloween projects (see here for some ideas if you need some!)  Here at element14 Community, we want to celebrate by breaking out and showing off our "Halloween Best"!

To participate in the costume party - just change your avatar to your favorite picture of yourself in a costume and then add the image as a reply to this discussion!  Bonus points if it's engineering/electronics related costumes!  Tesla anyone?  I'll go first! (below in replies)

I'm afraid I don't have any pictures but my two favourites were:

Pulp fiction shot guy - An old T-shirt, some charring and lots of red goop.

Lizardman - Black balaclava and home made lizard mask made from a paper-maché and latex mix.

Talk like a pirate day was 19th September but I'm sure there are other pirate themed dates

Don't take this the wrong way, but I'd love to see you testing this suit out! That'd be a great story for the pub, afterwards.

There's a pirate theme emerging here. When's that annual pirate day thing? Seems like something we're primed to take advantage of...

Here are a couple of blast test dummies - the special fire-retardent suit I'm wearing protects mannequins from explosive fireballs. You can see my buddy's face is charred from being exposed to many fireballs. I might be more convincing if I wore a suit after it had been in a few explosions, as they get charred and shredded, but I wouldn't want to go through an airport after wearing a suit exposed to explosives. It is pretty obvious from this picture who is the bigger dummy. I've had some interesting jobs over the years...

Of course, if you want to protect yourself from an explosion, you wear a suit like this:

Note the wrist controller to control ventilation, cooling, defogging, headlights and communications, etc.
