I am guessing it acts similar to mouthwash or breathe mints in lowering or masking ones BAC when blowing into a breathalyzer. I'm not sure if this actually works, however it is something that is spread around.

Reading up on detecting BAC through the skin (more accurately through a person's sweat) shows that it is possible, but the results take around 2 hours. Based on what I have seen, this sensor would be too complex for just a common hobbyist to develop. You may be able to purchase one and use it in your application, but I doubt you will develop a sensor yourself that trumps this one.

In my state Most of the drivers used cocunut oil before checking the police. So it is very difficult to caught Alcohol used drivers. So i am thinking to develop a sensor for checking through skin.

koudelad is correct the MQ-3 is sensitive and low cost, but it is difficult to calibrate.

You can see some of my adventures using them here.

There are some cheap MQ-3 sensors reactive to alcohol contained in air. I wouldn't expect them to be useful for anything else, but fun. The devices used by the Police need to be certified and regularly calibrated.

A few years ago, the Police (at least in our country) used chemical reaction that changed colour of a stripe included in an inflating balloon inflated by a person to be checked.

However, for precise alcohol measurement (contained in blood), a different method is used. Two samples of blood need to be taken after a while (not sure how the alcohol volume is measured) and then compared to some typical absorption curve to estimate alcohol level at the some specific time.

Have you looked for existing solutions? Is there a particular reason to develop your own?
