Features
Available on Tindie.com the Daisy Chained Arduino Kit is a small board to add up to 32 output pins to your Arduino board. It is based on the 75HC595 shift-out register. Using four of these devices, consuming only 2 I/O pins on the Arduino board it is possible to address 32 (8 bit x 4 shift registers) digital output pins from the board. The following video shows how it works with a series of 32 test LEDs controlled independently.
The board also include an independent analog trimmer that can be connected to an analog input port of the Arduino board. This is a feedback general-purpose control. In the example above the analog value, for example, is used to change the speed the output ports are enabled and consequently change the speed of the LEDs shift effect.
Assembling
The following video shows in detail the simple steps to assemble the kit. More details on http://www.balearicdynamics.es/?page_id=171
