This post covers my original design and how I am approaching the development of a High- Tech Vertical Farming System, by bullet points:
- a. Once I have completed the build of a small scale-model (25% of full size), I propose to carry out a reverse engineering exercise and split-out the various sections to analyse the structure and see what could be made better for the full-size version.
- b. In essence, this will be achieved by taking one square metre level and stretching it out so that I have a linear configuration of elements that make up the growing pods.
- c. I will be spending some time looking at the X and Y motions required to orientate the pods, lighting, and moisture distribution.
- d. Then I will assess what sensing devices will be required for positions of the X and Y motions, moisture and temperature control and lighting.
This process will allow me to create detailed drawings for the one-metre squared module.
