Can't believe the Raspberry Pi has been in development for six years and I have never come across any mention of it before... I am looking forward to future developments, not to mention hundreds of new projects based on the Raspberry Pi...
I gather the Raspberry Pi is primarily intended to assist in teaching young students the art of programming... It will most certainly emulate the successes of the BBC Micro, Sinclair Z80/81/Spectrum and other early computers in this regard but that's only the start of it...
I can't contemplate for a second that as I write this, some multinational is not planning a similar device... consider the potential...
Raspberry Pi has set the standards (and the price), they will follow...
The Raspberry Pi will no doubt result in a host of similar devices... it's absolutely certain...
Consider the possibilities... consider the potential... consider the alternatives
