The speaker line-up for the 9th Anti-Counterfeiting Forum Seminar, to be held on Thursday 15th March 2018 at BAE Systems Park Centre in Farnborough, Hampshire, is almost complete with speakers from the Approved Cables Initiative, Axis Electronics, Brand Enforcement UK, Cranfield University, Fujitsu, General Dynamics, GE Aviation and Retronix all confirmed so far.
Presentations will cover a wide range of topics of interest both to professionals relatively new to the subject and keen to learn more, and more experienced practitioners wanting to keep up to date with current trends and developments. The day will be organised into three themed sessions.
The first morning session will focus on developments in best practice, looking at the work currently being done by the various standards bodies to update existing and develop new standards as well providing an overview of current standards and how they inter-link. This session will also include presentations on the threat posed by counterfeit and non-compliant cables and the work being done to enforce intellectual property rights in the UK.
The second morning session will focus on the very practical topic of setting up, developing and maintaining a counterfeit management plan, with presentations from organisations, which now have highly developed and well established internal processes in place. For anyone interested in setting up or improving on their own internal processes, there will be plenty of time to talk to all of our speakers during the lunch break.
The afternoon session will look at new developments in the fight against counterfeits with presentations by a leading provider of test, repair and recovery services, and a provider of an anti-counterfeiting solution utilising a unique covert marking system. A further presentation will provide information on a newly proposed National Secure Engineering Centre for the UK, which will support the development of innovative solutions to address the problem of counterfeits.
