The Good News
The chips are in good physical shape. I removed them from the board with a hot air pencil. There are no significantly damaged pins. The chips include the main CPU, VRAM, PPU1, PPU2, and two 32K RAMs. There is also a BA6592F TV encoder chip. However. I am thinking about using that in another project. Also, I'm hoping it still works; which brings me to the next part.
The Bad News
Where did these come from? Well, the original Super Famicom came from Japan. I bought it for about $5 because it was in bad physical shape and didn't power-on. I never did any troubleshooting because when I took it apart, I realized it had been water damaged. (You'll notice I don't have any of the sound chips listed. The sound module is rusted and grosser than I want to touch right now.) So there is a chance that the chips don't work anymore. Please note that none of the mechanical pieces are available. I used the shell as a housing for my RetroPie.
But seriously, if there is something you could do with the CPU, PPUs, or memories, let me know. I can send you the chips. Just, please, treat them as potentially dead.
