Installed freeware Bricx Command Center (BricxCC) on my Dell Laptop running WinXP Pro. Serial port wired to IR tower and loaded firmware to my Lego RCX1.0. No problems at all! It is fantastic! Then I compiled a simple BEEP program and it worked perfectly. I highly recommend that all Middle Schoolers look into Lego RIS 1.5 or Lego NXT 2.0
