Electronics design is my job so I have tons of odd bits and pieces. I have started setting aside the more likely ones and think hard about how it is all going to connect together. Here's a short list of what I have gathered so far:
- FSR XYZ pad - like a mouse pad, pressure sensitive, analogue and easy to drive from a micro
- low voltage uni-polar stepper motor, works OK from 5V
- various dc motors some geared
- lithium-ion battery pack
- rotary encoder
- LED's
- relay
- push button
- gears, toothed belt
- thermistor
- LDR
This engine is going to be highly interactive and I'd like it to possess many hidden layers so that on first impression it is stand-alone and simple to use but there are "hidden depths"
I'd like to develop a simple bespoke programming language to allow it to be controlled from a PC connected via USB.
It will charge via USB of course
Only time will tell if I can maintain this level or excitement or keep posting to this blog...
