Lapp Group's Innovative right–angled A3 swivel base connectors are available in our Epic range of LS1 and M23 Circular Connectors. The patented top cover allows for simple mounting without the need of any tools and its ergonomic and compact design, assembly couldn’t be any easier.
For use by machine tool, motion drive and robotics manufacturers the EPIC LS1 A3 is suitable for power connections, whereas the EPIC M23 A3 is ideal for control signals. The patented swivel base mechanism that integrates a ratchet concept for each connector makes both unique in the market. The base is protected against vibration and holds the connector in 15° intervals adjustable over a 330° angle. This swivel mechanism is designed to allow for a clearly defined and constant movement of force, preventing any unintentional rotation when mounted on the device.
The M23 signal connector and LS1 power connectors comply with the requirements of DIN EN 61984 rated to IP68. They are also approved to UL, CSA and VDE standards. Both are offered in coupler, connector, and panel mount configurations that satisfy simple cable-to-cable and cable-to-machine requirements. They are ideal for control signal transmission and servo drive encoder feedback applications in a vast array of industries. These include the plastics, printing, analytical instrument, robotic and machine tool industries and any applications: industrial or commercial, where a compact and rugged connector is required.
M23 Connectors are available in seven housing arrangements that can accommodate three different keying positions. Each insert is offered in a choice of seven contact configurations for mounting male or female, crimp or solder contacts, creating a connection that meets your specific requirements. Rugged nickel-plated zinc bodies are common for many arrangements, as well as plastic contact insulation, body and gold plated electrical contacts. Arrangements which are cable mounted also include an integral EMC shield ring and a built in SKINTOP cable gland.
They are offered with insert configurations for 6, 7, 8+1, 9, 12, 16, and 17 crimp or solder contacts, either in a clockwise or counter-clockwise orientation. Used in combination, they connect one cable with another, which can be referred to as a cable coupler, or by connecting a cable to fixed wiring in a control enclosure or on a machine, instrument or motor.
A colour coding system provides positive identification and visual differentiation in multiple connector installations. Colour coded keying rings on the other hand ensure correct mating selection in applications where several connectors are mounted in the same location.
LS1 power connectors are available in five housing arrangements and two contact configurations: 5+PE and 3+PE+4. Nickel-plated zinc bodies are also common for all arrangements for LS1 power connectors, the same as they are for M23 Connectors.
