Craftsman Table Saw

6 Jun 2018

Today I assembled my Craftsman table saw.  It took about 2 hours because I decided to install the safety gear on it such as the teeth that prevent kickback and also the guide to keep wood from bouncing up I presume.  I bought this late on this home remodel since I'm still trying to get my insurance company to pay for the last tools I had stolen.  I mainly have been using a battery powered skil saw and my cuts haven't been exactly perfect.  I need this to hopefully touch up some trim that has to fit over tile and backerboard at different length surfaces to look nice and spiffy when I'm done.  Gotta have good trim on my 100+ hr tile job... I guess installing subway tile is another subject all together.  I'm happy with how the saw went together and will try to do the trim tomorrow after I mow my grass (hopefully before the city tickets me for it being over 1' tall) image

-have fun

Nice grass. lol. Yeah safety is key with this saw. Just use a push bar for those times your fingers might get close and always have eye and ear protection. Use good blades to avoid it catching the wood…

Nice grass. lol.  Yeah safety is key with this saw.  Just use a push bar for those times your fingers might get close and always have eye and ear protection.  Use good blades to avoid it catching the wood and throwing it back at you... I ended up taking off the kickback teeth.  They just get in my way most of the time.  Thanks!

Coincidentally several people here had a discussion on table saws a couple of days ago, there are some table saw basic safety tips here (you're possibly aware of these things anyway, but just in case).
