Cypress PSOC Bluetooth Low Energy on Kickstarter

This Kickstarter has a pretty cool low cost dev kit, and you can Hack the sensor board, there are 12 sensors on this tiny board...

also, the HC-05 module format is quite popular.

  • There is something not quite right about this project. The time scale is ridiculous (far too short) and there is no picture of the prototype in which you can see any real evidence of a board.  And then the picture of the "Las Vegas Meeting Location".

     

    And the stretch goal at 10x the value of the basic and all they do extra is make a different coloured box ?

    Thank you for your comments, we have been working on this for several months, we have been using Designer (first gen) Creator (second gen) for 10 years.

    Cypress has been super supportive of us, including today they posted our project on their website, very cool.

     

    Ok, onto to your comments, We actually did this project 2 years ago with a PSOC4, so we ramped it back up and added BLE, which in Creator is dropping a Lego into the tool, answering the questions, and then writing a little app on the Mfi/Andriod phone (which cypress provided), so not much new design , we built 2 boards 2 months ago (which is all Cypress could give us in parts).

     

    Our production boards (1000) are coming out next week and we will update our photos, then you will see the final product, just no wires hanging off. Its quite a mess actually. Also,

    many people selling tags on Kickstarter are not showing the board, we are not showing our IP at this time, as we feel we have something very small and compact that

    can be used for many applications, one of which is the handicap. This could be a great aid to assist them in there daily life.

     

    So, we will have 1000 boards Dec 2,3 and will make our Dec 18th date for the 250 modules that we need to ship to other customers before the Kickstarter started. Also

    a lot of college professors are very interested in the dev kits as they are $20.

     

    Please feel free to ask us anything more if you wish. I did post these answers in the FAQ about 1 week ago, if you need more detail.

     

    As far as the meeting in Vegas, it is for CES, and we thought if people wanted to help us on the project, they could meet us at CES for a business meeting, as we have some scheduled already.
