dBrass: Digital Kulintang

My project is to build a digital version of this instrument. This is a kulintang. It's common in Muslim tribes in the Philippines and some part of South East Asia.

I will attach a piezo sensor to each of my rubber pads that will act as a gong.

I also wanted this project to be a platform of my research on music and human brain activity so I will attach a brain-wave sensor and a heart rate sensor to the player.

Each note is mapped with the brain activity so I can look at the results later and see if there's a change in brain pattern when a note is hit or not or if we can map the

frustration through brain signal.
